We had Autumn sport event and plyaed table tennis, basketball, relay race and for the first time, ultimate. The result of Team Kato vs Team Wada: Team Wada won all the game!! It seemed we had improved basketball skill and the game looked like a real basketball game. Controlling a frisbee was quite difficult but we enjoyed the new sport. After the sports, we cooked Imoni, Gyoza and Yakisoba. Drinking beer after exercising and having Imoni in Autumn season are awesome!
We hold a party for celebrating Asst.Prof.Joo's marriage. Married member in lab talked about good points of marriage and Asst.Prof.Joo spoke fondly about a wonderful encounter with his wife and how he proposed to her. He gave advice to students,「Boys should be anbitious!」May you two be happy for ever!!
Annually, we enjoyed BBQ with other laboratories, but unfortunately it rained this year. The host, Miyasaka Lab. made 1,400 dumplings and served for us. Tsukazaki Lab., Miyasaka Lab., Fujiwara Lab. Ichitsubo Lab. and Kato lab. members ate a lot of dumplings and enjoyed until late.
We had an IMR INDOOR Beer Party. Because of the rainy season, it had been rainy or clowdy for a couple of weeks. Luckily it wasn't raining on the day but unfortunately just at the starting time it started raining. We didn't mind and enjoyed foods, drinks and talking with lab members and also other lab/office members.
We enjoyed Kato-lab sports event. Each year, M1 students manage the events and the tasks have been taken over very well from former M1. We played basketball, volleyball, badminton and for the first time, table tennis. Before the event, we were afraid how Chinese members were good at table tennis, and they were just so as we expected. So far, no one could beat Prof.Kato in badminton, but this time Asst.Prof.Wei from Life Innovation Project was a good rival. It was so heated game that Prof.kato broke his racket. The funniest scene was Asst.Prof.Wei served ball in volleyball and the ball directly hit a team mate, Assoc.Prof.Wada. Team Wada won this time and received a prize, PREMIUM MALTS, a set of beers. Right after the event we drunk the beer and continued to Nomikai.
We joined annual IMR Hanami, a cherry blossom party, at Mikamine park. We worried about the weather because it snowed unseasonably a few days before but we had really good weather. 9：30 gathered at lab→Mikamine park→11：00 Kanpai→14：00 moved to lab for 2nd party→23：00 finished（Drank half of a day） Many professors and students from other lab joined us and had a wonderful time.
We had a welcome party for new M1/Tasuku NAKAMURA, Rise TAKAGI, Yuusuke OOHASHI. The party continued to the second and third ones, we could get to know each other well.
